Dear Mayor Loveridge:

On behalf of the churches of Riverside, we want to express our most sincere condolences to all those in Japan who have lost family and loved ones in the recent earthquakes and tsunami.  We applaud the City of Riverside for their compassionate and sacrificial efforts to fundraise towards the rebuilding of Sendai. We join you in this endeavor to stand in solidarity with the people of Sendai, Japan.

As churches in Riverside, we not only want to care for those families within our own congregations, but we deeply desire to continually bless and uplift the Riverside community in areas of spiritual growth, as well as the practical needs and justice issues of our day.  We stand together with you, Mayor Loveridge, the City of Riverside, and the other wonderful organizations in Riverside in these efforts for transformative change locally – and in our sister city of Sendai.

It is an honor to partner with the City for the Sendai Relief Fund.   Please accept the enclosed check for $20,355.20 from the Churches of Riverside with all of our prayers, love, and support.

Very truly yours,

The Churches of Riverside
